Moshe Rabbeinu was born in Egypt on the 7th of Adar of the year 2368 from creation. He passed away on his 120th birthday – Adar 7, 2488, forty years after the Exodus from Egypt. Yet the Talmud teaches that the life of Moshe did not end. In the words of our sages, Moshe did not die:
“Moshe did not die… Just as he served then, in his lifetime, so does he serve Hashem now.” (Sotah, 13b)
