Nissan is called “the month of Geulah (redemption)”, because the entire month revolves around Pesach, “the season of our freedom.” Nissan (ניסן) is also connected with the concept of miracles, נס in Hebrew. The two concepts are interrelated, for it was with great miracles and wonders that G‑d took the Jews out of Egypt. Indeed, since the word ‘Nissan’ has two letters ‘nun’ (נ) in it, it is related to “miracles of a truly wondrous nature.”
