The tna’im of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka took place in Riga, Latvia on the 6 of Kislev 5689 (although according to some, it happened on the 3d of Kislev). On that same day, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, the father of the Rebbe, sent his son a letter of congratulation.
The Wedding of the Rebbe with Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka took place on the 14 of Kislev in Warsaw.
The tna’im are the official agreements between the bride and groom, traditionally written up in a contract. At the tna’im ceremony the document is filled in under the supervision of two witnesses, who then sign it along with guarantors. Subsequently the document is traditionally read aloud.
